No Safe Women, No Safe Society
In an age of escalating violence, demanding safety alone falls short. We must probe deeper: What enduring scars does violence etch in the psyche? How can recovery forge a truly secure society?
In this International Women’s Day special from the Scene48 podcast, lawyer Abeer Baker engages psychiatrist Dr. Sami Rahhal on Palestinian women’s mental health. They unpack how traumas compound amid oppressive realities, repositioning psychotherapy from personal option to societal imperative. For women’s healing transcends the individual; it’s the cornerstone of communal safety that defies and dismantles violence.
A rigorous dialogue on the right to heal, and safety’s essence in daily life.
